Having worked with a diverse student population over many years, educators at The Learn Academy know first hand that there are many students with passions outside of school who feel unsupported to pursue their goals in the mainstream education environment. This is because their sporting or musical commitments are often very timeconsuming. Here at The Learn Academy, we value this commitment and have designed a bespoke and flexible programme for students who are serious about succeeding in both their schooling and their extracurriculars.
What qualifications do we teach?
Our athlete and musician programme is designed for 16-18 year olds and prepares students for their International A-levels. The British curriculum is world-ranking and academically rigorous, but we believe that with careful organisation, highly skilled educators, and student commitment, even busy students can achieve success with this qualitication!
Our current cohort of student athletes are studying A-level English literature, maths, business studies and Spanish and were awarded fantastic examination results this summer.
So, how do we do it?
Following our extremely successful pilot study, we offer the following options:
- Joining classes online that are happening in our centre
- A combination of group classes and private tutoring
- Joining some of our small group study sessions and tutoring classes that happen after school hours
- Home study programmes prepared by our teachers to account for any time that is lost from school.
