The British School of Barcelona

The British School of Barcelona (BSB) has one campus in Castelldefels and another in Sitges . The school caters for children from 3 – 18 years and has a mix of both local and international children. BSB follows the English National Curriculum and is fully accredited by the British and Spanish Governments. BSB also offers a Pre-University Centre near their main campus in Castelldefels for students 16 – 19 years old. The American School of Barcelona: International School Barcelona 

The American School of Barcelona (ASB) offers education for children between the ages of 3 and 18. The campus is located in the greater Barcelona metropolitan area and has a student body of over 50 nationalities. Instruction is delivered in English, primarily by North American-trained teachers. Benjamin Franklin International School

The Benjamin Franklin International School is located within the city of Barcelona, in the neighbourhood of Sarrià. It caters for students from Nursery to Grade 12 and there are currently 699 students at BFIS. St. Peter’s School Barcelona

St. Peter’s is essentially a local private school with a largely international teaching body.The school has a strong reputation among locals and thus the student body is largely local. La Miranda

La Miranda is also a local private school with an international feel. Instruction is delivered equally in English, Catalan and Spanish. This means that your child will be required to study certain subjects, such as maths, in Catalan or Spanish. While there are additional language support classes for new students, be mindful that children will be expected to learn and study, without too many concessions, in all three languages. The European International School, or Europa as the locals call it, lies just beyond the mountains that surround Barcelona. The school is around 25km from the heart of the city and has an extensive campus with impressive sports facilities. The Olive Tree School

Oak House School

Oak House is a private school nestled below the mountains in Barcelona’s neighbourhood of Sarrià. Students on roll range from 3-18 years. The Early Years and Primary programmes at Oak House follow the British curricula and are fully authorised under the British system. However, at Secondary level students switch to the Catalan education system, where they complete the local requirements in addition to the Cambridge IGCSE exams.
